RICHMOND, VA—Police have charged a Henrico County man in connection with the July homicide death of two people in Blackstone.
Clyde C. Armstrong, 33, of the 2000 block of Cool Lane in Henrico County, was charged with six felony counts Friday. He faces two counts of first degree murder, three counts of solicitation for hire to commit murder and one count of first degree murder for killing a fetus.
Armstrong was being held on previous charges at the Henrico County Jail, when the new charges were filed, police said. The new charges stem from investigative leads that were developed from community tips and evidence that were collected in connection with the homicides.
Brian Jones, 27, and his pregnant girlfriend, Jasmine Morrison, 21, were found dead inside their Blackstone home July 4, 2012.
The couple had only moved into their home on Pickett Ct. a few months before their bodies were discovered by a neighbor, according to their family.

Armstrong is remains in custody. He is being held without bond pending his arraignment on the additional charges in Nottoway County General District Court.
The joint homicide investigation by investigators with the Blackstone Police Department and special agents with the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation remains on-going.
