2 Arrested In Richmond Scooter Robbery

Richmond, VA—Two men suspected of robbing a store and escaping the scene on a scooter have been arrested and charged.

Police arrested 29-year-old Jonathan Kaspar of the 3200 block of North Avenue, after he turned himself in to the Dinwiddie Sheriff's Department on August 27. He was charged with robbery and use of a firearm.

39-year-old Christopher L. Santiago of the 11300 block of Jefferson Davis Highway was arrested on Midlothian Turnpike Tuesday, September 4. He was charged with robbery.

Both men are suspected of robbing the Patterson Express store located at 3100 Patterson Avenue in Richmond on August 19. They allegedly left the scene on a motor scooter.

Police say more charges are pending as the investigation of this crime continues. Kaspar and Santiago may also be connected to the August 14 robbery of the Sheppard Market, and the Cary Street Mini-Mart, both located in Richmond.
