Richmond Mayor Dwight Jones and other city officials held a remembrance of the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks Tuesday morning.
The city hosted a "Day of Service and Remembrance" in recognition of the 11th anniversary of the attacks.
The event consisted of guest speakers, poetry reading, commemorative bell ringing and the signing of the statement of support for guard and reserve service members.
After the ceremonies, the city hosted training and information sessions, including CPR training and emergency preparedness.
