Fredericksburg, VA-Police arrested a man in Georgia in connection with the July stabbing death of a man whose body was found in a homeless camp in Fredericksburg.

Juan Antonio Zarco Melchor, 43, who goes by the street name of "Michaocano," was arrested in Marietta, Georgia at the home of a relative. Police said they believe Zarco fled Virginia following the fatal stabbing of Armando Escobar.

Zarco will be extradited to Fredericksburg where he will face one count of first-degree homicide, police said.

The body of Armando Escobar was found in a homeless camp behind the Central Park Townhomes on July 25.

Escobar's body was discovered inside a tent within a homeless camp behind the Central Park Townhomes off Fall Hill Avenue in Fredericksburg. Police said Escobar was known to reside in and around the Bragg Hill Corridor since 2008.

It is still unclear what led to the stabbing of Armando Escobar. Anyone with information about this case should contact Detective Patrick Lamb at 540-654-5740.
