Richmond, VA—After a short vehicle pursuit on the campus of Virginia Commonwealth University, a man was taken into custody on Thursday afternoon.

A VCU police officer on a bicycle noticed a car driving recklessly on Grace Street right before noon.

The driver pulled the car into the NN parking lot on campus, at Harrison and Grace Streets.

The officer called for a mobile unit, and when it arrived, the car left the lot.

Police followed the car a short distance, and the driver surrendered to police on Cathedral Place.

The driver was arrested and taken into custody outside Shafer Court Dining Center on driving-related charges. His identity has not been released.
