A cheap gas giveaway is causing major backups along Hull Street Road and Courthouse Road Friday morning.
The "Gas We Can" promotion is giving $1.84 gasoline away to the first 150 drivers at the Shell Station at the intersection of Hull Street Road, starting at 7 a.m. Friday.
Major backups are being reported as drivers line the streets for their chance to get the discounted fuel.
The promotion is hosted by Morning in America, Inc., which aimed to give gas away for January 2009 prices. Morning in America is an organization focused on energy policy.
