RICHMOND, VA—The mother of the man convicted in the 2011 Christmas Eve murder of two people was sentenced Friday.
Robin Mines, 52, was sentenced to 20 years for first-degree murder and five years for robbery.
Mines was found guilty in connection with the Christmas Eve shooting deaths of Robin Clapp, 56, and Edward Bowmer Jr., 60. Both were found shot to death inside a residence on North 35th St.
Police say Mines was with her son, Jamal Clemons, during the murders. Clemons was sentenced to 82 years in prison after pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree murder.
