RICHMOND, VA. (AP) - Dominion Virginia Power is offering new programs to help residential customers conserve more energy and save money.

The Richmond-based energy provider says the programs include a home energy checkup, duct testing and sealing, pump tune-up and pump upgrade programs.

Dominion says as part of the home energy check-up program, customers will get a personalized report with findings and recommendations for saving energy, as well as an estimated average one-time incentive of $230 to make improvements based on the check-up results.

The company says average incentives are $125 for the residential duct testing and sealing program and $90 per unit for a residential heat pump tune-up program.

The programs are in addition to other energy conservation initiatives being offered by Dominion to its about 2.3 million Virginia customers.
