LOUISA, VA—A Louisa County Public School System's gym, badly damaged during a 2011 earthquake, will reopen Thursday.
A reopening ceremony for the Trevilians Elementary School gym will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
The gym was badly damaged and suffered cracked walled during a 5.8 magnitude earthquake.
The gym serves students from Trevilian Elementary School and Thomas Jefferson Elementary. The schools have been holding PE classes outside or in other parts of the schools while repairs were being made.
The reopening ceremony will be held at the school from 5:30- 6:30 p.m.
