Richmond, VA—Verizon landline service has been affected in eastern Hanover and Henrico counties by a network equipment issue.
Customers may have trouble completing landline calls in these areas, due to the network equipment issue at Verizon's central office in Sandston.
The issue is not affecting wireless calling, High Speed Internet (DSL) service, FiOS Internet, FiOS TV or FiOS Digital Voice customers. In addition, 911 service overall is not affected.
At this time, there is no estimate of the number of customers affected. Although there is no estimated time of restoral, Verizon technicians are working to restore service.
