CHESTERFIELD, VA—All lanes of I-295 south are back open in Chesterfield County after a three vehicle wreck involving a tractor trailer temporarily shut down travel lanes.

The center and right lines of I-295 southbound were closed at mile marker 15 in Chesterfield County as crews worked to clean up diesel fuel that leaked from the tractor trailer.

Three people inside a passenger vehicle, the driver of a tractor trailer and one VDOT contractor all suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the tractor trailer, Andrew Grier, 62, of Charlotte, North Carolina, was charged with following too closely.

Officials said the tractor trailer hit a VDOT vehicle. The accident happened in a work zone.

The wreck happened just after 11:00 a.m. Two lanes were closed for about three hours.
