GLEN ALLEN, VA—A dog microchipping clinic will be held in Glen Allen on Saturday.
The event gives pet owners the opportunity to have their pet's microchipped and enrolled in a recovery service program. The cost is $25 dollars and includes the microchip, insertion and enrollment in the recovery program.
The Fido's Fall Festival will be held 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The event takes place at the 11015 Dude Ranch Road.
The American Kennel Club's Companion Animal Recovery program allows pet owners to more permanently identify their pets by implanting a microchip under the dog's skin, which can be scanned should the dog become lost.
