Richmond, VA—After allegedly robbing two people in the parking lot of Whole Foods Grocery Store at gunpoint, a 16-year-old boy has been arrested.

At 3:30 PM on Sunday, September 23, police responded to calls for assistance from the 11100 block of West Broad Street, in the vicinity of Whole Foods. A male and female, both adults, reported a male suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money. He then fled in a vehicle, taking several of the resident's possessions.

A Virginia State Trooper located the suspect's vehicle, based off of a description given to local jurisdictions. The Trooper pulled over the vehicle near the intersection of Belvidere and West Broad Streets.

Henrico detectives charged the suspect, a 16-year-old Black male riding as passenger in the vehicle, with two counts of robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Virginia State Police, Virginia Commonwealth Police and Henrico Police assisted in the arrest.
