Richmond, VA—The victim of a homicide in the 2000 block of Dinwiddie Avenue Wednesday night has been identified as 22-year-old Andre T. Harper.

Richmond Police continue to investigate two shootings that occurred within minutes of each other and just blocks away.

The first shooting occurred near the 301 Express Inc. at 2012 Maury Street near the intersection of Jeff Davis Highway.

Police found one person shot. The victim, a male in his forties, was taken to VCU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The second shooting occurred near 20th and Dinwiddie Avenues. The victim, Andre T. Harper of Richmond, was pronounced dead at VCU Medical Center.

Police say they do believe the homicide was an insolated incident, and that Harper's killing is connected to the shooting of another man in the same area at the same time, but no further details have been provided. No arrests have been made.
