First Stop Health — an online, 24/7 medical concierge service for the middle class — is one of eight health technology start-ups selected to participate in the Launch! session of the Health 2.0 Sixth Annual Fall Conference, October 7–10, 2012 in San Francisco.

“We’re honored to have been selected to present our service at Launch!” said Patrick Spain, co-founder and CEO of First Stop Health. “Using technology, we can now provide the 99 percent with the kind of high-touch, immediate-access, concierge medicine that was previously only available to the one percent.”

Spain will deliver a live demonstration of First Stop Health at the event using his own experience with the service and his own medical records. Attendees will evaluate all eight Launch! participants and then vote in real time on a winner, who will be invited to be a main-stage presenter at next year’s Heath 2.0 conference in San Francisco.

Since its inception in 2008, Launch! has introduced more than 45 new companies and products, including Unity Medical, Remedy Ventures, TheCarrot and the Wall Street Journal’s 2010 top start-up company, Castlight Health.

First Stop Health launched in late September, 2012. It offers a 14-day trial of its Premium Membership for $1.
