UPDATE: Ryan Markham has been sentenced to two consecutive life sentences, plus mandatory firearm sentences of 3 and 5 years for shooting his estranged wife to death in her home last June.

Hanover County, VA—Four months after shooting his estranged wife to death in her home, Ryan Paul Markham, 33, pleaded guilty to four charges and faces more than two life sentences.

Markham admitted killing Sabrina Markham in her Candleberry Drive home on June 2. After shooting her 11 times with a SKS assault rifle, Markham then shot and seriously wounded her boyfriend, Blake Minter, with the same weapon. He admitted to both crimes at Hanover Circuit Court on Tuesday.

Markham faces two life sentences, plus eight years in prison. He would have to serves at least 85 percent of his sentence, since Virginia does not offer parole.

Prosecutors agreed that no additional charges would be filed against Markham, since he pleaded guilty to various charges.

John Rockecharlie released a statement after Markham's day in court Tuesday:

"Ryan accepted full responsibility for his actions on 6/2.  We intend to show the court the full circumstances surrounding this tragic event."

A sentencing hearing for Markham is scheduled to take place February 26 at 1:30 PM.
