Woman Stabbed Near VCU Medical Center, Suspects Sought
RICHMOND, VA—Richmond Police are searching for two suspects after a woman was stabbed multiple times during an assault near VCU Medical Center on Tuesday evening.
It happened near Ninth and Marshall Streets just off campus near VCU Medical Center. Police said the victim, a female, was walking when she was approached by two females at approximately 10:30 p.m.
The female suspects began assaulting the victim and stabbed the victim, police said. The victim, a female in her early 30s, suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
The incident stemmed from an earlier dispute that escalated and does not appear to be random, according to police.
The suspects were last seen running towards Broad Street.
The first suspect was described as a black female, 5'2", 125 pounds, wearing a white T-shirt and hair in braids. The second suspect was described as a black female, 5'3"-5'4", 180 pounds wearing all black clothing.
