RICHMOND, VA—Twelve students were taken to the hospital after a Richmond City school bus struck a deer early Thursday morning.
Twelve students from Thompson Middle School were taken to the hospital for observation after complaining of minor aches and pains, school officials said.
It happened in the 6700 block of Forest Hill Avenue near Windsorview Drive. The intersection was closed for a short time.
Students on the bus were transferred to another bus and taken to the school.
