RICHMOND, VA—VCU Police have arrested four people in connection with a rash of armed robberies near VCU's Monroe Park Campus on Tuesday night.

Three armed robberies occurred within 20 minutes of each other Tuesday night, police said.

Four suspects in the crime spree, three men and one woman, were arrested VCU Police said Wednesday morning.

The first robbery happened around 9:50 p.m. Tuesday at Grove Avenue near Park Avenue. The victim told police he was approached by a man with a gun. The suspect got away with the victim's wallet and phone.

The second incident happened just 10 minutes later. Police said two victims had their phones and wallets stolen at West Clay Street and Norton Street.

Ten minutes later, a fourth victim has his wallet and phone stolen at West Clay Street and Mumford Street.

Victims were able to give police officers an accurate description of the robber's getaway vehicle, and Fourth Precinct Officer Nicholas Stirrett located it about an hour after the last incident. The vehicle was stopped near Bellevue and Chamberlayne Avenues.

Three men and one woman were arrested in connection with the robberies. Tyrieff Howard of Henrico, Harold L. Cox, Jr. of Glen Allen and Tyquisha Q. Carter of the 2100 block of Pinetree Drive (all 18) were charged with one count each of robbery.

Jyquon R. Jackson, 18, of the 800 block of Edgehill Road, was arrested Wednesday morning and is believed to be the one who committed the robberies while the other three are accomplices.
