HENRICO, VA- Two Henrico County schools were placed on lockdown while police investigated a suspicious situation Thursday afternoon.
Highland Springs High School and Highland Springs Elementary School were on lockdown for approximately 30 minutes Thursday morning, school officials said.
The lock downs have since been lifted.
Police alerted schools after what was believed to be a gunshot was heard in the area.
No reports of injuries have been made, police said.
