CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – The Chesterfield County Police Department has charged a driver in the October 21 fatal vehicle crash which occurred in the 2100 block of Courthouse Road.
Police have charged Reynaldo H. Solano 44, who resides in the 2300 block of Courthouse Road, Chesterfield Virginia, with reckless driving. Witness's state Solano went through a red light and struck a 2008 Honda Civic, driven by 26 year old Stephen C. Doane. Doane died at the scene of the crash. Solano is scheduled to appear in Chesterfield General District Court on December 27, 2012 at 1:00 pm.
Chesterfield, VA—Police have identified the man killed in a car wreck on Courthouse Road early Sunday morning.
Stephen C. Doane, 26, of Richmond, was killed in the two-vehicle accident. It happened at approximately 9:00 a.m. Sunday.
Police said Doane's Honda Civic was making a left turn from the southbound exit ramp of Powhite Parkway onto Courthouse Road, when it was struck by a GMC pickup truck traveling north on Courthouse Road.
Doane was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The driver and the passenger in the GMC truck were not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
