SPECIALTY S'MORES
12 cookies

S'MORES have been a favorite sweet of kids and adults for many, many years. This recipe is a "jazzed-up" version of the original recipe.

  • 24 (2 ½-inch square) graham crackers (plain, chocolate, or cinnamon-flavored)
  • 12 very small pretzel twists (optional)
  • 12 miniature chocolate or filled chocolate candies (Milky Way, Baby Ruth, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Butter Finger, Rolo etc…..your choice)
  • 12 regular-size marshmallows

Arrange 12 graham crackers, about 2 inches apart, on an ungreased baking sheet.  Top each with a pretzel twist, if desired.  Then top with a desired chocolate candy piece.  Top each with a marshmallow.

Bake in a preheated moderate oven (350 degrees F.) for about 3 minutes or until marshmallows begin to melt and turn a light brown.  Turn off baking setting of oven; set oven to broil.  Broil S'MORES for about 1 to 2 minutes, or just until the marshmallows become well toasted and are very soft. YUMMY!

Variations: Add some candy corn to each under the marshmallow.

Add some finely chopped nuts of choice under the marshmallow.
