TRIANGLE, Va. (AP) - The Marine Corps Heritage Foundation is installing a statue of the military branch's most decorated.

Officials are installing the statue of Lt. Gen. Lewis Burwell "Chesty" Puller at the Semper Fidelis Memorial Park in Triangle on Tuesday.

The park is adjacent to the National Museum of the Marine Corps.

A massive crane is being used to lift the 8-foot bronze sculpture that was donated by the Marine Corps League.

Puller was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He is the most decorated Marine in history and the only Marine to be awarded five Navy Crosses.

An official dedication ceremony for the sculpture crafted by Terry Jones is scheduled for Nov. 12.
