The man accused of killing his pregnant girlfriend in Henrico last year has pleaded guilty.
Gregory Nelson pleaded guilty Thursday afternoon to the first degree murder of Susanna Cisneros in March of 2011.
Cisneros was found stabbed to death outside of a West Broad Street fast food restaurant. She was nine months pregnant at the time of her death. Her unborn son was unable to be saved.
Nelson was originally indicted on a capital murder charge because of the unborn baby's death, but prosecutors dropped the capital charge because of a lack of evidence that Nelson intended to kill the fetus.
