RICHMOND, VA. - Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is returning to the battleground Virginia as Election Day nears, with less than a week before voters head to the polls.
Romney will speak at a Victory Event in Doswell on Thursday. The event kicks off at 1:45 p.m. at the Meadow Event Park. Event organizers are asking supporters to bring donations for Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.
Before his Doswell visit, Romney is scheduled to speak in Roanoke. He's attend a rally in Virginia Beach later Thursday evening.
Polls show Virginia among the last handful of states where the election is a toss-up. In 2008, President Barack Obama became the first Democratic presidential candidate to carry Virginia since 1964.
