The Stafford County Sheriff's Office says it responded to two incidents early Tuesday morning. Fredericksburg police responded to a separate incident on Tuesday morning.
Officials say that in all three cases, the homes were believed to be damaged by an explosion from the homemade devices. None of the occupants in any of the homes were injured.
In a news release, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said it is believed that all three cases are related. They are working with the Stafford County Fire Marshal's Office, Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, Virginia State Police and the Fredericksburg Police Department to investigate.
