Several local voting precincts experienced glitches as the polls opened this morning, only to have those issues quickly resolved.
In Richmond, a problem with the electronic books was reported at the Retreat Hospital polling location, causing some long lines. At G.H. Reid Elementary School in South Richmond, the wrong races appeared on the ballots. Both issues have been resolved.
In Chesterfield, several voters told 8News of voting machine problems in the Matoaca district. Chesterfield registrar Larry Haake said they had to replace a machine, but everything is now running smoothly.
In Henrico County, some Sandston voters reported they were told they could not cast a vote because they already voted absentee. 8News is investigating these claims.
