UPDATE: Power has been restored to most businesses and homes in the Short Pump area.
Henrico, VA--Over 2600 homes and businesses lost power Tuesday afternoon, after a piece of Dominion Virginia Power equipment caught fire near the American Family Fitness Center in Short Pump.
Fire crews responded to the scene at 12:26 PM; 2630 businesses and residences are without power. There is no estimate on how long it will take to restore power.
All of Short Pump Town Center is without electricity, as well as Whole Foods Market and other businesses.
