Chesterfield, VA--Virginia State Police are currently on the scene of a serious, two-vehicle accident on Interstate 95 southbound north of Route 10 in Chesterfield County that has temporarily closed all southbound lanes.
Police responded to the crash involving a fuel truck and a pick-up truck just after 1:30 PM on Wednesday. The fuel truck struck the rear of a utility trailer hitched to the back of the pick-up, causing the vehicles to lodge together.
The roadway was closed southbound at 2:45 PM to allow crews to clean up and dislodge the fuel truck from the trailer.
The accident has also impacted Route 288 in Chesterfield, in the vicinity of the ramp to Jeff Davis Highway, The south left shoulder, left lane, and center lane are closed.
There were no injuries reported in this incident.
