RICHMOND, VA—Richmond Police are investigating a fatal shooting and robbery at a convenience store in South Richmond.
Mohammad Taib, 59, was found shot to death inside a food mart on Erich Road, just off of Midlothian Turnpike.
Police responded to reports of a shooting, at approximately 11:00 a.m. Saturday. Officials said a citizen discovered Taib's body inside the store.
Taib was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers said the victim was discovered behind the counter. Police have not released any suspect information, but said a robbery may have been the motive.
