RICHMOND, VA—Richmond Police are searching for two suspects after an armed robbery was reported near Virginia Commonwealth University early Sunday morning.

It happened near the intersection of Main and Plus Streets at approximately 1:00 a.m. Sunday.

Police said the three people were leaving Belly Timber bar on West Main Street near Lombardy Avenue, when two men approached them.

The men, armed with handguns, approached the three victims and demanded money and other items, police said.

The suspects were last seen entering a black Land Rover that headed south toward West Cary Street.

Two black males with estimated heights of 5'8"-5'10". Police said both suspects were identified as wearing all black clothing with red bandanas covering their faces.

Richmond Police are asking anyone with additional information to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000. Tips also can be sent via text to Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word "ITip" followed by your tip. Both Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
