RICHMOND, VA—A Richmond water main broke Monday afternoon.
It happened in the 3000 block of Dorset Road in Richmond.
The City of Richmond's Department of Public Utilities said the break is causing a swampy area to form near a retention pond.
The department said turning off the water line would impact Broad Rock Elementary and a decision to shutoff the water, had not been made at this point in time.
