HENRICO, VA—Power has been restored to more than 4,200 Henrico residents who lost power Sunday evening when a vehicle slammed into a utility pole.

It happened Sunday evening, at Parham Road and Fiordson Road.

The utility pole was broken when the vehicle crashed into it; it's unclear if there were any injuries in the accident.

Dominion Virginia Power representative Jim Norvelle told 8News that crews were on the scene shortly after the accident, at approximately 7:30 p.m. By switching power circuits, crews were able to restore lights in all but 131 homes by 8:30 p.m.

Norvelle explained that the remaining 131 homes were the closest to the accident, and most impacted by the broken pole.

Power was restored to most homes by 2:00 a.m. Monday.
