UPDATE: Police have identified the pedestrian killed in Chesterfield Sunday evening as 56-year-old Jimmie D. Harmon, Sr.
CHESTERFIELD, VA—A pedestrian was struck and killed in Chesterfield on Sunday evening.
It happened in the 16800 block of Jefferson Davis Highway near Happy Hill Road at approximately 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police said a truck traveling south on Jefferson Davis Highway struck a pedestrian in the roadway.
The pedestrian was taken to VCU Medical Center where he later died, police said.
The victim's name has not been released. The driver of the truck was not injured and has not been charged.
