HANOVER, VA—Authorities are asking for help to identify the man who robbed two Hanover County banks Wednesday afternoon.

The Sun Trust inside the Kroger in the 6300 block of Mechanicsville Turnpike was robbed at approximately 2:50 p.m. Wednesday.
Approximately 25 minutes later, officers responded to the BB&T bank located in the 9100 block of Chamberlayne Road for a report of a second robbery.
Police said the suspect in both robberies passed a note to the teller demanding money.
The suspect left the banks with an undisclosed amount of money.
No injures were reported in either incident, and no weapon was displayed, according to police.
Surveillance images gathered by investigators indicate that the same suspect was involved in both robberies. The suspect is described as follows:• White Male; 20's; approximately 5'10"; medium build; fair complexion; short, light-colored hair • Clothing: blue baseball hat with round emblem; sunglasses; blue long-sleeved button-down shirt; dark colored pants
Investigators also believe that the suspect was driving a red compact hatchback. The suspect's vehicle was last seen at the intersection of Chamberlayne Road and Atlee Station Road.
