Chesterfield Police Arrest 1 In Rash Of Copper Thefts
CHESTERFIELD, VA—Chesterfield County Police have arrested a man they say committed a rash of burglaries, stealing copper from multiple vacant homes.
David A. Lentz, 34, of the 700 block of Bur Oak Lane in Richmond, was arrested Tuesday in connection to multiple burglaries.
Lentz was charged with four counts of breaking and entering with the intent to commit a felony, four counts of grand larceny, one count of possession of burglary tools and one count of possession of a controlled substance.
The incidents all took place at vacant homes, and police said Lentz stole copper from the residences.
The first incident occurred between October 31 and November 16 in the 7900 block of Bur Oak Lane.
A second incident took place sometime between November 13 and November 16 in the 8700 block of Ashton Woods Court
A third incident took place on November 26 in the 4300 block of Deertrail Drive.
A fourth incident occurred on December 4 at a home in the 3900 block of Echo Ridge Place.
