HENRICO, VA—The man pulled from an apartment fire in Henrico County early Tuesday morning has died.
Keith Venable, 49, died Wednesday as a result of the injuries he sustained in the fire, according to Henrico County Fire officials.
Fire crews responded to an overnight fire at a Henrico apartment and found Venable unresponsive, inside the apartment.
The fire broke out at an apartment on Bolling Road just off Laburnum Avenue at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday.
Venable was unresponsive and was taken to VCU Medical Center.
A neighbor who saw the fire and tried to rescue the victim suffered minor injures. They were cut by glass and were treated on scene.
Fire officials said the fire was relatively small, but said smoke was visible when they arrived on scene.
