The man accused of a vicious abduction and assault of a local teacher pleaded guilty in a Powhatan courtroom Tuesday.
James Wolfe, Sr. pleaded guilty to abduction, robbery, malicious wounding, breaking and entering and arson charges in connection with the January 2011 attack of Mary Anderson.
Police said Wolfe broke into Anderson's home, savagely beat her, set her house on fire and forced her into his vehicle. He then forced the victim to withdraw funds from an ATM before leaving her on the side of the road.
Anderson is still recovering from serious injuries.
