HENRICO, VA—A Henrico County doctor charged with sexual battery faces a new charge after a second woman came forward, alleging the man had inappropriately touched her, police said Thursday.
Dr. Anada Chellappan, 68, of the 5700 block of Maple Brook Drive in Midlothian faces one new count of sexual battery.
Police charged Chellappan after an adult female said she was inappropriately touched by her doctor. The charges stem from an alleged March 2012 incident.
Chellappan already faced sexual battery charges following a police investigation. He was charged with sexual battery in December 2012 after a different woman told police she was fondled by her doctor.
The doctor turned himself in to authorities Wednesday, Henrico County Police said.
Chellappan's practice is located in the 4900 block of Cutshaw Avenue in Henrico.
