The charges against a Henrico teenager accused in the shooting a girl at a West End house party have been withdrawn.
Marcus Moore was accused of firing shots during a September 2 house party. A 17-year-old girl was struck in her head by a bullet, which went through the back window of the car she was in.
The Henrico Commonwealth's Attorney's office announced Tuesday that the case against Moore was being withdrawn. Moore, a Hermitage High graduate, had been scheduled to appear in court this Friday.
8News interviewed Moore two weeks after the shooting, when he proclaimed his innocence.
"I would never do anything that I'm being accused of," Moore said at the time. "I'm just an athlete. All I want to do it make my mother proud, be a good role model for my brothers and sisters go to school and live out my dream to play basketball for college."
It's unclear if police have any other suspects in the case.
