Ashland, VA—When police and fire crews responded to a Jamestown Road home to put out a fire, they discovered a complex marijuana grow, consisting of 90 plants.

Ashland Police responded to assist the fire department with a residential fire in the 10000 block of Jamestown Road on Saturday.

Upon arrival, the officers found elaborate marijuana grow in two locations on the property. Further investigation revealed 90 marijuana plants housed in a grow tent with lighting and chemicals associated with marijuana production.

Officers also found numerous assault rifles, shotguns and pistols inside the residence, along with  a significant amount of ammunition.

23-year-old Henry Frank Patterson and 18-year-old Chandler Douglas Patterson were arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, conspiracy to distribute marijuana and possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled substance.

Both men are being held at Pamunkey Regional Jail.
