HENRICO, VA—Three people were displaced and one person suffered non-life threatening burns in a fire at a Henrico County home Christmas Eve.
It happened at a home in the 900 block of Dirk Drive. Crews responded to reports of a garage fire at approximately 12:50 p.m.
When crews arrived, the garage was heavily involved in flames and the fire had spread to a connecting home. The garage was a complete loss, and the home sustained moderate damage to the outside and moderate smoke damage inside the home.
A 21-year-old male suffered burns to his hands and was taken to VCU Medical center for treatment. His injuries appeared to be non-life threatening, fire officials said.
The three people were displaced by the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
