Chesterfield Man Accused Of Sex Crimes With Minors, Denied Bond

CHESTERFIELD, VA—The man Chesterfield County Police say provided alcohol to minors and engaged in inappropriate acts with them once they were drunk was denied bond Friday.

Robert J. Dodd, 48, of the 10000 block of Wycliff Road in Richmond, has been charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery and four counts of purchasing alcohol for unauthorized person.

Dodd was denied bond in court appearance Friday.

Police say Dodd gave alcohol to minors. When the minors became intoxicated, Dodd engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior with them, police said.

The alleged crimes took place over a period of seven years, Chesterfield County Police said.

Offense date in February 2010 - 1 count each of aggravated sexual battery and purchasing alcohol for unauthorized person
Offense date in June 2011 - 1 count each of aggravated sexual battery and purchasing alcohol for unauthorized person
Offense date in February 2012 - 1 count each of aggravated sexual battery and purchasing alcohol for unauthorized person
Offense date from 9/1/2006 to 9/30/2010 - 1 count of purchasing alcohol for unauthorized person

A second court date has not been set.
