It’s out with the old and in with the new and 2013 not only brings newly engaged couples, but new trends for weddings. Mango Muse Events, top destination wedding planner, shares 4 exciting wedding trends for 2013.
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) January 17, 2013
It’s 2013, a new year and with it a whole new year of weddings. Brides are planning for their upcoming weddings and Mango Muse Events, top destination wedding planner shares 4 wedding trends that will be big in 2013.
1. Color - The Pantone color of the year is emerald green, which will be popping up all over the place. However, it is not just emerald green that will be popular in 2013, but other shades of green as well like mint green and kelly green. Mixed in with the greens, metallic colors will also be popular, in particular the gold tones. There will also be an influx of neutral colors as well like beige, soft grey, blush and taupe. These colors will create a richness that correlates with the next trend.
2. Décor and Event Design – 2013 weddings will veer away from the rustic design aesthetic to more of a sophisticated look. Classic design styles along side graphic and geometric patterns will be incorporated across many types of wedding design and décor from invitations to table setups to wedding attire.
3. Destination weddings – Destination weddings will be a big trend in 2013 with more and more couples starting to have smaller, more intimate celebrations in faraway locations. Tropical destinations such as Hawaii, Mexico, Thailand, and the Caribbean will still be popular, but there will be more couples choosing other types of locations in cities, the countryside, old world towns, forests and even deserts. Couples are thinking a little more outside of the box to find that one special place where they want to get married.
4. Customization – The biggest trend and must have for 2013 is personalization. Couples want to have a unique wedding, one that is a representation of who they are. They are looking for vendors who can create something totally customized for them to help tell their love story. With all the time, effort and money spent on a wedding, couples are looking for value and want something special and totally their own. Having a customized wedding in every facet is important and will continue to be in 2013.
