HENRICO, VA—Two people were displaced from their home after an early morning Henrico County apartment fire Tuesday.
The fire broke out just before 6:15 a.m. at the Coventry Gardens Apartments on Newbridge Circle near Nine Mile Road.
A 911 caller said the apartment was on fire and fire was visible in front of the window on the second floor, fire officials said.
When Henrico County Fire crews arrived, fire was visible on the outside of the apartment and had moved into the building's attic.
One apartment was affected by the fire and displaced two adults.
The American Red Cross is assisting the two people displaced from their apartment. The occupants of the remaining seven apartments will be allowed to return to their apartments.
Crews brought the fire under just about 20 minutes. No injures were reported. It's unclear what sparked the fire.
