ETTRICK, Va. (AP) - Virginia State University has received a $150,000 grant for a "green roof" initiative.
The two-year grant from Dominion Virginia Power will fund research to find new ways to improve buildings' energy efficiency and the sustainable use of water for irrigation.
The Progress-Index reports that Dominion Virginia Power has awarded a total $1.4 million to several universities in the state for renewable energy research and development.
