No Injuries In Downtown Richmond Fire

RICHMOND, VA—Richmond Fire crews responded to an underground fire that broke out in downtown Richmond on Thursday afternoon.

The fire broke out just before 11:00 a.m. Thursday.

Debris in a tunnel was smoldering and set off a fire alarm, according to Richmond Fire officials. The incident is under control and no one was injured, according to authorities.

The fire broke out in the 1200 block of East Broad Street near 12th Street.
