UPDATE: Rt. 10 Reopens After Chemical Leak

UPDATE: Chesterfield Fire crews have determined that the substance leaked onto Route 10 is not hazardous or toxic, and all lanes have re-opened.

Chesterfield, VA—Some lanes of Route 10 in Chesterfield between Chester and Hopewell are currently being blocked off, due to a substance spilled on the roadway by a tractor trailer.

Crews are working to determine whether or not the substance is toxic.

Drivers should expect delays on Route 10 in both directions.
