Henrico, VA--The son of Petersburg's Chief of Police was arraigned in a Henrico County courtroom on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol.
John Dixon IV, who is a Petersburg police officer, was arrested at about 1:53 a.m. Saturday, January 26, while he was driving his personal vehicle near Broad Street and John Rolfe Parkway.
Sources tell 8News that Dixon is the son of Petersburg Chief of Police John Dixon III.
Dixon was also charged with failure to obey a red light, refusal and expired license plates.
Dixon was arraigned Monday morning. His next court date is set for February 11.
