RICHMOND, VA—The Lee Monument Circle at Monument Avenue and North Allen Avenue in Richmond has been plagued by a string of accidents.
It's a stretch of road that saw 14 accidents in 2012 and has some Richmond residents concerned.
A father and daughter were struck by a car at the circle in October 2012, when the car slid around the Monument Avenue turn, crashed into a brick wall and hit the pair.
"We hear breaks screeching, my kids will say, 'Oh no, not another accident'," said Kathyrn Cummings about the circle in October.
